The world is on 26.2, and everything came with it. No resets, no rollbacks, nothing left behind — your builds, your claims, your homes, your balance and every rank on the ladder are exactly where you left them.
We took the server down on Tuesday morning and gave ourselves the whole day, because a version jump is one of those things that goes fine right up until it does not. It went fine. Mostly.
What actually moved
Every plugin had to be brought across, and each one is a small negotiation. The ones worth naming:
- GriefDefender — claims came over untouched. We checked a sample of the largest claims by hand afterwards and every corner was where it should be.
- Jobs — levels and payouts intact. A handful of block types are new to the version and are not assigned to any job yet; we will fold them in once we have watched what they are actually used for.
- mcMMO — skill levels came across whole.
- AdvancedEnchantments — books and armour sets survived. If you are wearing a full set and something feels off, tell us; that is the plugin we trust least through a version change.
- The economy — balances, shops, auction listings and TradeMe offers all carried over. Nobody lost a single ❀.
What broke
Two things, and both are fixed:
- Chat formatting came back with the rank colours slightly off for about forty minutes on Tuesday afternoon — Sunwright in particular came out closer to orange than gold. Fixed. If you had a screenshot in that window, keep it; it is the only time the ladder has ever looked wrong.
- The head database lost its cache and had to rebuild it, so heads were briefly blank. Also fixed, and it rebuilt faster than we expected.
Nothing was lost in either case. Both were cosmetic, and both were embarrassing rather than expensive.
Two things worth checking yourself
Walk your claim edges
Take a lap around anything large you have claimed. Claims came across cleanly in everything we tested, but you know your own build better than we do, and it costs you two minutes.
Check any redstone that was clever
Simple contraptions are fine. The ones built around a specific tick behaviour are the ones that quietly stop working after a version jump. If yours has stopped, say so — we would rather hear about it than have you rebuild it in silence.
One more thing
The Resource World was reset as part of the move, which was always the plan — it is a world built to be used up. The main world was not touched and never will be.
Thank you for the patience on Tuesday. Go and plant something.
