The rank ladder

Twenty-one ranks. Each one inherits everything below it, and each one is bought in-game with ❀ using /rankup. This is the long game — the thing people are still working on a year in.

Last updated

  • 21

ranks, each inheriting the one before

  • 483,799,000

to go all the way to Sovereign

  • 8,315,650

claim blocks along the way, including the 5,000 you start with

You start as Wayfarer with the baseline kit and to earn. From there, every step is bought: run /rankup when you can afford it and the next rank is yours, along with a fresh grant of GriefDefender claim blocks.

What do I unlock next?

Pick where you are now. This tells you what the next /rankup costs, what you gain, and how far Sovereign still is.

Pick your current rank and this panel will tell you what the next /rankup costs, and what it opens up.

The cost curve

Every step is roughly 1.75× the one before it. On a straight scale the first nineteen ranks would be a flat line along the bottom — so this chart is logarithmic, and each gridline is ten times the one below.

Rank-up cost at each step of the ladderA logarithmic chart. The first rank-up costs 5,000 and the last costs 207,345,000. Every figure is also listed in the table below this chart.10k100k1M10M100MWayfarer → next rank: 5,0001WayfarerSeedling → next rank: 9,000Cottager → next rank: 15,000Tiller → next rank: 27,000Gardener → next rank: 47,000Apprentice → next rank: 82,0006ApprenticeJourneyman → next rank: 144,000Artisan → next rank: 251,000Warden → next rank: 440,000Herbalist → next rank: 770,000Sunwright → next rank: 1,347,00011SunwrightGlassmith → next rank: 2,357,000Lorekeeper → next rank: 4,125,000Greenknight → next rank: 7,219,000Sunwarden → next rank: 12,633,000Guildmaster → next rank: 22,108,00016GuildmasterHigh Steward → next rank: 38,688,000Radiant → next rank: 67,704,000Luminar → next rank: 118,483,000Archon of Bloom → next rank: 207,345,00020Archon5,000207,345,000
Each point is the cost of one /rankup, on a logarithmic scale — every gridline is ten times the one below it. The curve grows by roughly 1.75× per step, from 5,000 to 207,345,000 . Swipe the chart sideways to follow the whole curve — every figure is also in the table below.

The shape is the point. Getting from Wayfarer to Herbalist is a few weeks of ordinary play. Getting from Luminar to Archon of Bloom is a project. Both are the same number of clicks on /rankup, and that gap is what makes the top of the ladder worth anything.

Every rank, in order

Each rank inherits everything below it. The figures show what the next rank-up costs from here, and what you will have spent and earned by the time you arrive.

Common questions

Do I lose anything when I rank up?

No. Every rank inherits everything below it. You keep every command, every limit and every claim block you have already been granted.

Where do claim blocks come from?

You start with a grant, and every /rankup adds more. See Land claiming for how to spend them.

Can I buy a rank with real money?

No, and there is no plan to allow it. The store is cosmetics only.

Is there anything after Sovereign?

No. Sovereign of the Everbloom is the end of the ladder.
